Care@ chooses Edgeworks Care Academy

Care Academy is pleased to announce that Care@ is the latest organisation to sign up to our dedicated care sector e-learning programme. Care@ is a successful specialist healthcare recruitment business with a growing network of nursing and care agencies throughout the UK.  Following the successful launch and roll-out of the Care@ branded Care Academy, student feedback so far has been overwhelmingly positive, with staff stating

UKQCS signs as Care-Academy Partner

Edgeworks announced today that UK Quality Care Solutions (UKQCS) are the latest organisation to sign up to the Care-Academy Partner Programme. UK Quality Care Solutions provides quality management support and training to the care industry. The Care-Academy sits well with both their Quality Management and Training offering and gives UKQCS greater flexibility in learning delivery.

Care-Academy Develop CWDC Induction Programme

Edgeworks has today announced they are developing an Induction programme meeting the requirements of the Children’s Workforce Development Council Induction Standards.

The programme will contain content for both Early Years and Young Adult settings and will be available early May 2007.

New Care Agency focused Induction programme to be launched in April 2007

Edgeworks today announced that the highly successful Online solution for Skills For Care Combined Induction is to be extended to include a programme designed especially for Care Agencies. The programme will be based on the same framework as the current Care Providers version but will include content on:

  1. Dual Reporting.
  2. The unique role of the Agency Worker.

C-I-C learners pass 1,000 course completions within first 6 months

A new starter at Community Integrated Care (CIC) today completed the thousandth course since the CIC Care-Academy went live. This has been achieved within 6 months of the programme launch and shows how well the management and new starters within CIC rate the programme. The CIC Care-Academy alone sees over 100 course completions each week at present.

Edgeworks to demonstrate the value of online learning in the care sector

Edgeworks has been invited to present the value of online learning to the Knowsley Care Partnership on March 7th 2007.

Paul Allman, Edgeworks Head of Learning will give a short presentation focusing on the practicalities and benefits of using online learning in the Care sector.

His presentation will last approximately 20 minutes and include a short demonstration of Edgeworks Care-Academy together with Questions and Answers.

Edgeworks Care-Academy has been developed to assist care organisations to meet the regulatory requirements. The Care-Academy combines a mix of on-line learning, classroom and workplace activities to ensure learning is both enjoyable and effective.

Care-Academy Offline Course Management - Version Upgrade

Edgeworks has today released a version upgrade to the current SKILLS365 Offline Course Management module used within the Care-Academy.

Edgeworks Care-Academy has been developed to assist care organisations to meet the requirements of the Skills For Care (formerly TOPSS England) Induction Standards. The Care-Academy combines a mix of on-line learning, classroom and workplace activities to ensure learning is both enjoyable and effective.
